Note about new client appointment availability

Please note we currently can only accept new mental health clients at our partner Homeworth Ohio office location in person. We are full in the other offices and online appointments. If you cannot come to the Homeworth office, please check back in a week to see if new client appointments have opened up online or at other locations. Please do not send a message if you cannot go to the Homeworth office as CAASS does not keep a waiting list.

Our Mission

The Center for Autism, Assertiveness & Social Skills  (CAASS) exists to provide world-class clinical and coaching services to help adolescents, teens and adults with Autism/Asperger’s & ADHD personality features meet life’s challenges and thrive. This is the CAASS LTD. approach in mental health treatment or coaching.

We are pleased to welcome a new provider Kim J. Haring, CT, who will be providing our services via our clinical partner. Kim is excited to help people with Autism/ADHD!

CAASS was founded by Ken Smith with a commitment to helping those who need help with Autism/Asperger’s, especially in adulthood. CAASS also helps anyone who needs help overcoming social phobia/anxiety or in need of learning how to respect their rights and those of others assertively.

CAASS provides mental health services and counseling for those age 12+ within the state of Ohio.

CAASS provides coaching services to people all over the US.

CAASS offers speakers and continuing education all over the world.

We are firm believers in treatment, education, psycho-education, and fulfillment of your potential. We do not just label people with a limiting diagnosis (see the limitation of diagnosis see the book here) or just help a person get disability designation.

That is why we do not diagnosis Autism, ADHD, or any other permanent neuro-developmental challenge without seeing a person for at least four (4) counseling sessions to see what help the person needs. We will help you with whatever challenges you are having at least four (4) sessions before just labeling you. Assessment for Autism & ADHD will take place in the context of therapy.

CAASS LTD is good at helping people succeed, so if you just need a diagnosis for a disability designation or get government assistance, be aware we are very bad at helping you get this (most likely permanent) designation.
